Pimping XP

You know me - I'm always the first of the last (or the last of the first?) to adapt technical innovations. Anyway, I was one of the first in Germany to get a 8.9 inch netbook, for whatever it's worth. And I love pimping the device, for whatever that's worth again. So here's what I use:

BricoPack's Vista Inspirat for the overall Macish look of my XP system - including the Rocket Dock toolbar (included with Vista Inspirat) at the top of the screen and some Yahoo! Widgets in the bottom right corner (hiding the stupid waste basket, btw.):


The task manager could also use some improvements, and Vista, despite all its shortcomings, has something to offer there as well... So I went for WinFlip 0.5, an emulation of Vista's "flying windows", and well, I love the effect:


Finally, Firefox 3.0.8 had to be improved as well - why settle for linear tabbing in your favourite browser? So here's what FoxTabs can do for you:


Just as an inspiration - after all, I'm not a nerd (yet). I actually work on this system. In fact, an Acer Aspire One A150x is all you need for daily writing - save for the extended battery, that is.
