Long Time No See

I was very busy. I was busy living, in fact. Spring was here, as it was everywhere right now; but here in Berlin, spring had a certain quality, like the return of a long-missed friend, easing at last the mercilessness of grey concrete and barren streets. The city was returning to life, and so was I, a few minor health issues not included in the calculation.

I was making progress on a variety of front-lines: my novel was developing greatly, I just had to do the wrap-up and try to revamp my storyline by removing all the dead ends that had piled up. I had started meditation again and discovered to my own surprise that I liked it - in fact, was craving for it. Nothing better than to spend half an hour a day in serious submersion, unfettered from Ego's ravings. And I was getting up early every day and crazy about getting some work done, the more the better.

In general, I felt like I was living in a state of grace - like I was living exactly the kind of life I'd been made for, and could go on from here and tackle the real challenges that were predetermined and meant for me. Might sound strange, but that was the way I felt. I did not have too much of anything, be it money, peace or abundance of any kind, mind you, but I realised that I had enough, and that I really did not need anything else, but just use my capacities and abilities to the fullest extent possible and see where that might lead. "Enough is a good as a feast", like the saying went. It was true. And it was beautiful.

Some years back, I had a different but comparable instance of an epiphany, that lead me to state something that held true today as it held true then, and that provided me with a deep sense of peace and purpose every time I thought about it. It was very simple:

It was a world of beauty,
it was a world of grace.
